Tacoma's prog fusion band, Velocity, is set to honor the groundbreaking music of Weather Report. Formed in 1970 by jazz legends Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter, Weather Report featured virtuoso musicians including bassist Jaco Pastorius, drummer Peter Erskine, and others.
